After 16 batches of free downloadable content and one paid expansion, CD Projekt RED is going to release one more expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on May 31. At the end of the month, you’ll dive back into the world of Geralt of Rivia with the new Blood and Wineexpansion, and the developers released a short teaser to promote it.
Geralt’s latest adventure takes him to Toussaint, a seemingly peaceful location. However, there are dark forces lurking about in the city, and it’s up to the famous monster hunter to get rid of the problem before it takes over the area.
Overall, the expansion adds about 30 hours of gameplay through the main story and other quests in an area that’s as big as the No Man’s Land section in the base game. Game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz also mentioned that Blood and Wine will introduce new features to The Witcher 3 experience such as “a Point of Interest system, a new Gwent deck, new endgame mutation mechanics and even a place that Geralt can call home.”
