Android N will enable manufacturers of smart devices to create their own version of 3D Touch. At this stage it is unclear how exactly will be called this function for pressure sensitive on display.
It is expected the new Launcher shortcuts, which come with Android N, to actually add support for the technology. Google described them as “shortcuts that users can is in the launcher to help them perform actions more quickly,” but according to developers this is precisely function type 3D Touch.
Google has responded to the request of the smartphone companies which asked this functions to be directly implemented into the operating system. This will allow the manufacturers no longer to develop heir own software, and will use a unified system.
